Tips & Tricks

1. Use Search.

The "Search" function on our site works beautifully — just click on the little magnifying glass icon at the top of the page and enter a musician's name, a venue, a year, etc. It's a great way to quickly locate posters that highlight your favorite performers!

2. Shop by collection.

Instead of just browsing through all of our posters, why not focus on what interests you most? Singers? Bestsellers? Big Bands? Saxophone? Trumpet? etc… It can make it easier to find what you're really looking for — and discover posters you might not have noticed!

3. Follow us on Instagram & Facebook.

These days, there's simply no better way to keep tabs on everything we're up to!

4. Sign up for emails.

You may also want to join our email list — we send out messages once in a while to showcase our newest releases and to inform customers about big sales, shop announcements, and more:

5. Measure carefully.

Our posters are available in a bunch of different sizes, so please bust out that tape measure and pay extra attention to the dimensions in inches when deciding which posters to order. (Also: Consider carefully whether you prefer each specific poster in a 2:3 or 3:4 aspect ratio.)

6. Go bigger than you think.

Here's a secret: posters tend to feel smaller once they're hanging on the wall. In fact, many of our customers who purchase smaller size posters (11"x17", 12"x16", or 12"x18") end up replacing them later with larger versions later on. So we recommend that you consider buying a larger poster when you first order — you'll thank us later. (For your reference, 16"x24" and 24"x36" are our most popular sizes).

7. Zoom in on the details.

Remember, our posters pay tribute to events from the distant past — they often "show their age," with folds, creases, scratches, spots, marks, smears, ghosting, discolorations, glitches, errors, typos, etc. We leave almost all of these "imperfections" intact. So be sure to enlarge our preview images: zoom in and inspect each poster carefully to know what you're getting.

8. Choose your own frame.

Just a quick reminder that we sell our posters unframed only — but thousands of inexpensive, easy-to-use framing options are available from various brick-and-mortar and online retailers. We typically recommend black ready-to-hang quick frames (the kind where you just undo the clips on the back, slide in the poster, and redo the clips).

9. Listen and learn.

Lots of our posters — and the musicians, events, and venues they represent — have fascinating backstories. Read the text descriptions for each poster, and visit all the links to articles, videos, etc. that we provide. Check out any recordings they refer to. Knowing the context and history can only add to your enjoyment of our posters.

10. Reach out to us!

Please don't hesitate to drop us an email or message if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions — or if you ever encounter any difficulties with our products or service. We love hearing from you!

We truly hope you find these pointers helpful. Miss anything? Let us know!
